Thanks for stopping by, but I’m afraid your comment doesn’t make much sense. As for BEE, I saw it in action up close at my previous employer (one of the big four banks in SA), and what I saw of “Black Elite Enrichment” (at the expense of customers, shareholders and staff) disgusted me.

Thanks Joel. I wasn’t sure whether to bring the Rosa Parks parallel in or not. Looks as if I should have. If we’re to have a state for all Jews, one segment cannot claim the public space as their own and impose a narrow (and relatively “modern”) view of morality on the rest.

Point taken, Ben. Well made, as usual. I’m not planning to take on the teenage gangs on my own! What I am hoping for is that if enough respectable citizens complain to the “responsible authorities”, “something will be done about it”. I know they have the wherewithal to deal with the hooligans; they just lack the political will.
